Suresh Raina was born and grew up in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India on 27th November, 1986. Suresh Raina once decided to start his career in cricket and starts play cricket and moved from his hometown Muradnagar to Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh where he join Guru Gobind Singh Sports College.

• Suresh Rain was caught in a trap after a sarcastic tweet about the Pakistan cricket team, who were ousted from the tournament match because they were lost to the Sri Lanka team in the semi-finals match, the tweet said that "Ek do din late gaye ghar !!!! Woh bhi besharam ki tarah Gaye... Bye-bye Pakistan!!!!. the tweet was deleted soon and Raina came up with a clarification on Twitter and said "Smartphones r dangerous. Discovered it last night after my nephew posted random tweets. I'm a sportsman and would never disrespect". Though I already deleted it, I felt it's better to clarify. To all those who r upset, I'm sorry. I'm not one to show disrespect."
• Suresh Raina along with his teammates Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Bravo stuck to the controversy that they all three had taken bribes from a bookie who was also a builder while they all were playing for the team Chennai Super Kings and this allegation was pointed by, former IPL chief Lalit Modi On 20 June 2013.

He always holds rules and laws laid down by governing bodies with the highest regard and will continue to do so in the future as well.".
